THE MAGICAL CARD-TAROT

This is my favorite topic recently. Let me tell you some point about tarot card firstly.
Tarot is special deck only used for asking about the past, the present and future. it is original come from ancient Egypt and the word "tarot " means the Royal way (tar-royal. roth-way). Even the origin of ancient Is-real also have relationship with this kind of deck. 
A Tarot deck is included 78 cards, they are divided into 2 main part: major arcana (or trump cards_22 cards) and minor arcana(46 cards) . Arcana means deep and wide secret. The minor arcana is divided into 4 small minor arcana : each of them have 14 cards
Cups - presents for the water
Wands -present for the fire
Swords - present for the air
Pentacles - present for the earth(or land)

I have bought a tarot deck from online shop, it is so beautiful and fantastical. this is my Fantastical Creatures tarot deck:

The most interesting point that i want to share is what i have done with this attractive topic
i have design a table used for telling the future by using tarot cards. the table includes:
A magical box: putting my cards into.

A ball of transparent quartz stone

A black pocket with magical sign in center: putting 13 magical stones into.

White candles around the table.

All things above are hand made by myself. I am trying to make viewers have a mysterious feeling when looking at.

Layout Design

This is the layout that i design for a nature magazine which follow the Gestalt Theory.

There are 2 concepts used in the layout.

Continuance: continuance describe a device for directing the viewer's attention when looking at a composition. in this layout, you can see the curve of flowers in one sides of the picture. It make viewer pay attention follow the line that flowers flow down.

Proximity_Overlap: when the items are different colors the overlap produces the illusion of a shadow space. the overlap items form a strong group regardless of color. in the layout, the group of flower stand overlap the background and present a strong position between text and title.

 Also, here is the links that i take the image of old paper to combine with the black background.

 I thought that using the old paper beside black background will make the layout look more naturally. And the color of the font is contrast with the color of background will create a contrast between the text and the background, i hope this help viewer look at text easier.

DESIGNER FOR ASSIGNMENT 1

I have chosen an Italian poster art designer_LEONETTO CAPPIELLO. He is called as ' father of modern advertising' because of his innovation in poster design. the way he show the main element popping out of black background interested me so much.also, i like the way he use gestalt theory in his works, too. here below are 3 of his famous art work.

I have  exercise about designing  a sun and moon logo for  a company . i have search a lot of information and pictures of sun and moon , and  i the first feeling when i see them is the high contrast and strong feeling of the sun. i think that the sun and moon are both very important to the earth, they are against each others but also supplement each of them. one can not exist without the other. They seem to be 2 extremities.

the red lines on the left represent for the strength and hotness of the sun. in contrast, on the right , there are some starts represent the softness and coldness of the moon. Also, i use 2 letters of japanese kanji alphabet to replace for 2 circles inside the big black and white circle. they mean that sun and moon.
